What test documentation is required?
If you are travelling from a risk area outside Spain: The tests that are allowed are PCR (RT-PCR for COVID-19), Transcription Mediated Amplification (TMA) and RT-LAMP (Reverse Transcriptase Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification)
In all other cases: antigen tests that detect SARS-COV-2 antigens with an accuracy of 97% and a sensitivity of over 80% as defined in their supporting documentation.
The test must come with a printed or digital certificate that contains the following information: name, surnames and ID number of the person tested, name of the health organisation or authority that does the test, contact details of the medical centre, brand and health authorisation of the test, date and time of the test, and the test result. In the case of antigen tests, the certificate must include the accuracy and sensitivity of the test. It is preferable if the test certificate is in English or Spanish.

ARCHIVE:
Lanzarote is very much open!
Since November 23rd, tourists travelling from high-risk countries, which currently includes the UK and virtually all of mainland Europe (as specified by the ECDC Covid map) must provide a negative PCR test result on arrival at destination to enter the islands, to be presented at the airport. This test must be a PCR test that was carried out within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain, including the Canary Islands, and you must have a paper or digital certificate in English or Spanish. This applies to ALL travellers, including children.
We recommend that you contact your airline to confirm their requirements prior to travelling.
The Canarian Government have published a list of test centres that are available in the UK for UK travelers, you can view it HERE. However there will be many alternative options for testing in your local area so worth checking other sources for information near you.
At Villa Alcalde you have the advantage of a professional team located on the island to support all your needs.
The safety and well-being of our clients and staff is always a priority. As such, following Covid 19, we’ve introduced additional preventative measures including;
Sanitation of the villa with an Anti-Covid 19 disinfectant between client stays.
Masks provided as part of the welcome pack.
Extra washing machine powder provided for clients.
Extra towels provided.
We may also need to request additional documentation from guests to validate identity, travel itinerary and other relevant information.
Please note that at present we are not offering mid-stay cleans, this is recommended by local guidelines, in order to minimise interaction between our housekeeping teams and your group/family during your stay. Our management/maintenance team are local, working as normal, ‘on-call’ to you throughout for any urgent support.
Our de-escalation process, relaxing of rules and opening of travel/flight options is fast-moving, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss options for your preferred dates.
Likewise, the options for personal services onsite at Villa Alcalde are vast, including catering and home delivery of groceries, so rather than give you a massive list of options, why don’t you just tell us what works best for you and we are here to help you plan everything before you arrive.
