About us
Villa Alcalde is a family project created by the Herold family from a love for Lanzarote and a vision of creating something different on the island.
The idea was to offer a large, distinctive villa where families and groups could spend time together without having to choose between privacy, location and comfort.
Set in the rural landscape of Mácher, Villa Alcalde offers exactly that: a peaceful setting away from the busiest tourist areas, while remaining within easy reach of the coast, Puerto del Carmen and many of Lanzarote's main attractions.
We run the villa with the team at Tinasoria Consulting. Dan looks after the property and pricing. Julian looks after guests and the villa’s listings on booking sites. José Miguel is the software engineer responsible for the website and the technology supporting the villa.
Together, we look after the day-to-day running of this family-owned house.

Villa Alcalde was conceived as a house where large families and groups can genuinely spend time together — long breakfasts, afternoons by the pool, dinners outside and quiet evenings surrounded by Lanzarote's volcanic landscape.
We believe a luxury villa on Lanzarote should still feel like Lanzarote. That means respecting the island's architecture and character while providing the comfort, quality and attention to detail expected from a high-end private stay.
